Plant Comics is a web comic that I write and illustrate published on Instagram.
I used doodles drawn from colored pencil illustrations to produce t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, stickers, and prints on the ecommerce website, Teepublic.
Results
This resulted in the sale of over 50 items promoted via Instagram, @PlantComics, garnering orders from around the globe. The objective was to establish a straightforward, replicable, and scalable visual style that harmonized symbols, metaphors, icons, and original characters through vibrant illustrations. As a lifelong graphic artist and avid doodler, the initial sketching stage is a crucial first step to explore and refine resonant ideas.
